Solution:
Two little white stones against the Black army. The solution to this problem uses extension threats to set up a fifth capture: L9! with the double threat of J9 and N11 on move two.

For instance, if Black blocks the left side with, say, J9 on his move one, then White's move two to N11 threatens an "expansion" against Black's Q14 stone. If Black then stops this threat with move two at M10, then White plays his third move at N10! forming a vertical open-three that will capture one of the two Black stones on that line. For example: 3. ... J10 4. N8 N12 (forced) 5. N14* and White wins the fifth capture.

A similar catastrophe occurs if Black blocks the right side of the board on his first move, with, say, N11. Then White plays J9 on move two (threatening either K9 or J8) and Black has no defense.
Thanks for posting this; I remember the name of the puzzle, but haven't seen it in a lot of years.
