Poof? is it working?

I'm very new at poof-pente. From the instructions I thought that up to 5 stones could be poofed at one time if, say, a player put a 5th stone-in-a-row between two of the other player's stones. But that doesn't seem to be happening. --> How many stones can actually be poofed at one time?

Thanks. I'll study this. This is completely different from what I had envisioned. I'd thought that there would be two white stones, one on each end, and five black stones in a row between them. (or, two black stones capturing five white ones.) I never pictured this way.

Yeah, I wouldn't foresee P2 lasting more than another 8 moves or so after 16. N12. Not sure if there's a quicker forced win and P2 may have a few choices as to where to play on blocks, but looks pretty lost after that move.
Retired from TB Pente, but still playing live games & exploring variants like D, poof and boat
