I wanted to post some information about the new pente league. This is a new league provided by myleague.com. Every one is more than welcome to join this league. The leagues name is, Pente Addiction and the site address is www.myleague.com/penteaddiction Please go to the site and check it out. It costs nothing and there are no repercussions if you decide that you are not interested after giving it a try. If you would like to try it out, click on Free Sign up and finish the 4 easy steps to become a member. You must use the same user I.D. that you use at DSG. The password is up to you. You must enter the activation code to finalize this process. I have signed up under two different I.D.’s, my speed name (speed_v) and my Normal name (Vitals). The rules say that you may only have one registered I.D., under normal circumstances I can understand this rule, but we pente players are just special! This rule is a tool for the Administrators so that the administrator can weed out people abusing the league site. For the time being, I am the administrator for this league and I feel it is a necessity for us to be able to use both I.D.’s. We need the speed nicks because most of the tourneys that we will be playing will be speed tourneys; at least for the first little while until we all get the hang of it. All we need to do to play a tourney is to have 4 members of the league and a tourney director (TD) at Dweebos at the same time. I am currently the only TD for the league at this time. Although it is simple to add more TD’s whenever we see fit so that there is more of an opportunity to play tourneys. The tourneys can be played with as few as 4-players and up to any amount. When there are no TD’s at Dweebos to create a tourney, then the league also offers Ladder matches. You can read up on how the ladder matches work through the league site. We have not created any rules yet for league games, but we are pretty much leaning towards having to play a game from each seat and in order for it to be a reportable loss, you will have to lose both games in the set before you must report it. There is really nothing set in stone as of yet on this and may never need be. This is our league and we can do what we want as long as you and your opponent agree on however you want to play your league game. All games will be played here at DSG. The ladder games will just be reported on the league site and all the small tourneys will be ran through the league site. WE ENCOURAGE ALL PLAYERS TO CHECK OUT THE NEW LEAGUE NOW MATTER WHAT THEIR SKILL LEVEL IS! In a perfect work the majority of us will become members so that we can see the true potential of having a league. Thanks for checking this out. I hope to see you all in the league. Wyatt, (vitals)
