CST and overuse
Posted: Sep 3, 2002, 7:01 PM

Hey everyone! I am writing as a warning to those who use the computer a lot. Todya I went to a wrist specialist because of discomfort in my wrists. apparently I have stress from overuse of the computyer. He said I am on the brink of carpal tunnel syndrome and I need to dramatically reduce my computer usage!

So, to all those out there, I suggest taking frequebnt breaks, make sure your armsandwrists are in a good position when you use the leyboard, and take not if you start to feel stiffness or discomfort.

My wrist discomfort is one reason why my posts areso messy, I don't proofread because I try to spend as little tiem as possible because of my wrist pain. This ios of course not a good thing, as soemtimes my meaning is not clear due to typing errors.

I guess I will havwe to reduce my poente time here as well as o other sites and my overcall computer usage.

So, if you don't see mearoudn on the site much for a bit, that is why! I hope none of you have the same problem I have, it is very frustrating. Take acre of your wrists!

If I do not accept a game invite right away, it means I will once I have fewer games in progress.

DK
I had same problem, started doing stretching execises for hands, fingers, and arms about every 30 minutes or so (while at keyboard) and the problem seems to have gone away. Good Luck!
P.S. Realizing you are pationate in your opinions, try getting meaning across in shorter posts.

i agree with snutter. the old people arent having
trouble of this sort, but it might be that you are thinking too much and your hands are falling asleep
between moves
