Really slow moving

I have not played on the site in awhile but recently started playing again. It is moving really slow for me. I have Windows Mill. and am not sure if I need to download the Java thing. Would it move faster if I did?

What exactly is moving slow? More info will help me answer your questions better.
You already have java, it is required to play games in the game room. Upgrading to a newer version might help, but probably won't make things too much faster.
