Is it possible to block a user from sending you messages?

something like an 'ignore' option?......to be applied to dialogue @ tables and/or main room as well so that harassing/offensive text doesnt come through?.....I dunno if this is what you have in mind Lisa, but methinks it'd be a good addition......any thoughts anyone?

i think what lisa is referring to is sending DSG messages, not table or room talk. Sounds like an okay idea.

I was talking about DSG messages sent privately. But squirrlkng has a good point.

Much like a chat program, I think it'd be nice to have a set of checkboxes. maybe for the varying levels of one might use a blocking feature.

block ability of person X from seeing me on site entirely
OR
block ability of person X from challenging or messaging only.
OR
block ability of person X from joining my table etc.

something like that maybe?

it's not a bad idea, many sites implement similar blocking features on their sites already.

Dweebo, prioritize this right under 'need manual dbase entry capability'

only problem is, when playing live, do they just appear as a ghost playing? that would be an awkward situation... lol you walk in and someone is playing... nobody lol.

Hmmm....another good reason to implement a block user option. (see above comment)

that is how i would do it. but luckily for most of this sites history it hasn't been much of an issue. though that appears to be changing as more players are complaining of abuse. its a pretty big change and it won't be happening anytime soon unfortunately. might be a good thing for a donor privilege though someday.
