Anyone interested in a Keryo or Pente tournament?
Let's discuss it! See what we can get working!

If I am going to run one, why not several? eigh?

Please answer the following questions:

Pente Tournament:

What would the time settings be?
example 20 min w/ 5 sec incremental
How Many Days per Round? 7?

Keryo Tournament:

What would the time settings be?
example 25 min w/ 5 sec incremental
How Many Days per Round? 7?

Thanks in advance!

time settings for keryo are ok, i just dont know if 7 days per round is not too short time for play, in past tournaments there where even problems to set up a date for match, when we had 2 weeks to do that...

Right on. I agree a week is a little short. People don't like to win by defaults. We shall make it 2 weeks then!

I will give it another day or two to await other responses then I will post the tournaments this sunday!

HEY Y'ALL DO NOT FORGET TO HELP PETER TEST SET BASED RATINGS ON http://test.pente.org AFTER ALL HIS HARD WORK LET US SHOW HIM WE APPRECIATE IT! YEA!!!!

Keryo and Pente Tournaments are open for registration. Please visit http://pente.org/gameServer/tournaments to register.

carson75's Pente Tournament begins March 5 with rounds every 14 days. It will be double elimination with game settings of 20/5 per round.

s3v3n's Keryo Tournamnet begins March 5 with rounds every 14 days. It will be double elimination with game settings of 25/5 per round.

I hope many people join up to play! Good luck to everyone!

hehe keryo tournament's name looks little strange to me wouldn't it sound better when we call it f.e. "keryo pente 2009" or sth like that..i really dont feel like it is mine tournament

oh, and one more thing - is it possible to let players with provisional rankings also sign up for keryo tournament?

the keryo tournament name has been updated to remove your name s3v3n.

in the past when we have allowed provisional players to join tournaments, most of the time those players end up not showing up for matches and we end up with more forfeits.

if we force players to at least play 20 games then we know they are somewhat committed to finishing the tournament!

but if you still want to allow provisional players let me know. in the future i hope to allow anyone to create and run their own tournaments so you can make the tournament exactly like you want.
