World Championship in Vegas, Aug. 2004
Posted: Jun 5, 2004, 4:41 AM

Howdy all,

Here's the deal about Vegas. Only three people have sent in entry fees and we are 8 weeks away. The WPPF has exactly enough to cover the cost of the room rental at Calico Jack's. I'm hesitant to spend every dime we have on a room rental for three people. I need to be sure that the WPPF isn't going to spend $40+ per person for a room rental. I have it reserved and I checked today no one else has even asked for that date (so there was a good bit of planning on our part). We had 20 people in OKC last year. I was hoping to get 30+ this year. However, if we only have 20 people coming this year, we should rent a smaller room. If we are going to get 30-35 then the room I have reserved would be fine. If we are going to have more (hope against hope), then I need to know for sure by a show of entry fees so that I can try and find a larger room.

Your entry fees tell me what I should do. If you are planning on attending, send your entry fee in ASAP and that means yesterday.

As it stands, we will be playing at Calico Jack's in Las Vegas, NV on August 7 & 8 from 11:00AM to 6:00PM. You can find more details on the WPPF website or by emailing me.

The entry fee is $50.

It is extremely important that you register and pay your entry fee as early as possible so that we can have an accurate headcount and get the best possible price on facility costs.

You can send your entry fee via PayPal to worldchampionship@playpente.com. Be sure to add a little extra for the PayPal fees(about $2, which no one has done as of yet).

OR

You mail your entry fee to:
Community Clubs Tournaments
P.O. Box 1172
Little Elm, TX 75068
Please send money order or cashier's check.
No personal checks and no cash!.
"

I took this information from: http://www.playpente.com/tourneys.php?tourneyID=9

Hope this is helpful!!

Hey Partica,

It says on the WPPF website, that if one pays prior to July 1, the entry fee is $45. Is this correct? If not, let me know because I sent my $45 in a few days ago.

Thanks.

Kudos to dimitri. Let's everyone get their money in so Greg and Partica can plan this thing right. Also, a great opportunity to meet in person many of the people we've gotten to be pente buddies with and have some fun.

I for one can't wait to go to Fevas! I hear it's a fun place...now if I could only find it on a map (sorry Dimitri, couldn't help myself
