hey Dweeb,

check this one out - after an apparent oversight by Aaru, I made the winning move getting 6 stones in a row. The game failed to end though, in fact it's still active. Any ideas?

yea I realised that once reading the rules here.

Still, doesn't make much sense to me since 6 in a row contains 5 in a row, and the object of the game is to get 5 in a row!

Guess I didn't know as I've played a bit of what pente.net calls 'no caps' which is basically Gomoku but without the overline rules.

Gomoku is distinct from "no caps pente." I don't know why overlines don't count in Gomoku, but they don't, and that's one of the many reasons I don't play said game.

It's no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then.
