Ok, you caught me...

Right, well, penteman has come out with it, so I guess I'll go ahead and explain all--I knew I could get ahold of a glass pente board for a photo because I knew that my dad (penteman--get the theme now?) owns one.

I think you should get your polished obsidian together with your fathers glass Pente board and take some photos, Pentejr. I think that would make a great homepage photo. Then you should visit IYT and invite me to a game of Pro Pente : )

I just entered the July 2000 fast tourney at IYT. When I finish off some of those games (or my dad, who I also challenged), I'll challenge you, luv. By the way, what was your id over there again?
Also, I too had thought of getting my stones together with dad's board, but what should be the opposing color? My obsidian stones are sort of a metallic blue kind of color.
Good ideas, all! Keep them coming

Good question, Pentejr. Will the metallic blue stand out from the glass in a photo? There is a stone that is dark gray, sort of a mirrored finished (I've no idea what it's called), kind of pewter looking. That may compliment the obsidian. Do you have a natural science museum near you? At the museum here, they sell the stones for very little.
At IYT, my user name is LUVNTHOTS. Be looking forward to it : )

My obsidian stones will stand out from the glass board, which is clear with black lines. Rather, the issue, I think, is to find a stone color that will contrast with the obsidian. We do have a natural history museum in the area, but I don't know if they sell stuff like that, so we need to be prepared to use regular pente stones if necessary. Penteman, what do you have to say about this? You have more colors of pente stones than anyone I know.
By the way, luv, apparently I made an IYT id a long time ago and forgot about it because I went to register and was told I already had an id! I made a couple of guesses as to what I might have named myself and found that my id is fortunea. Don't challenge me just yet, though, for I have 8 games at the moment and that is plenty. You're next, though--don't worry. Be forewarned, though, I only play with the tournament rule (what IYT calls pro-pente).
