How about a Pente column for newspapers?

Wouldn't you love to see a Pente column with puzzles/game analysis carried on a daily or weekly basis in your local newspaper- like they have for bridge, chess, etc.? I know I would. Heck, I'd even help write one, though I wouldn't want to take it on all by myself. I figure if it's going to happen in the future, it probably has to start out with something like this post. So, if you think it's a good idea and would be willing to contribute to making it happen, start noting interesting games and such and maybe it can actually become a reality. Perhaps it'll start off as an online project which once it demonstrates popularity will get syndicated and picked up by papers. As I understand it that type of thing is generally relatively easy to get newspapers to carry, since they sell papers and fill a regular slot in them.

I love the idea watus, but why not put it online somewhere as well? Maybe that would be an easier way to get it started.
I would absolutely LOVE to have this sort of content on pente.org, or would be happy to link to it and help you promote it if you put it on a different site.

Yes, it would definitely have an online component if we can get the project going, since I think most print newspapers are now online as well. I suspect online is actually the best way to begin it. I'm certainly willing to commit a few hours per week to looking for interesting games and positions, a bit of proofing and editing and all that, but I think it would be a pretty sizeable project for someone to try to do by themselves more than say on a weekly basis. However, if we get several people willing to pitch in, I think it has potential. Pente.org would be a great place to have it going, I agree.
