what's the deal here????? Not too long ago, this yahoo club was a quick and easy way for us to communicate. Now, it is a huge hassle-- As Joe said, I tried to respond to gary's message, and it said my email addrss woudl be posted. HUH??? I don't really care if people see my email address a whole lot, but why is it posted just because I reply?
Furthermore, the site now rusn extremely slowly for me.. every other site runs fine, but his one goes very very slowly, sometimes taking over a minute to simply load it or read a message. Before I was able to click through messages instantly.
Worse, EVERY nemssage is almost obscured by an enormous ad for a digital camera. But that isn't enough, then every so often instead of loading the message at all, it loads a full screen ad-- FOR THE SAME DAMN PRODUCT!!!!!
All of this is a pain in the *** and none of it existed a week or two ago before this club site changed for whatever reason.
I kow you teh what you pay for and none of us are paying anything, but I do not understand why the change caused such annoyances. And, again restating what Joe said, what the hell does wrap message text mean???
Disgruntled,
Dmitri

If I do not accept a game invite right away, it means I will once I have fewer games in progress.

I agree dmitriking, this site runs extremely slowly for me too. I will write to them and ask if this will improve. We had no choice but to be moved from clubs to groups.
>wrap message text mean??? When you type your message, it will wrap the words to the size of the window, rather than breaking the line at a fixed length. Just a formatting thing, no big deal. I didn't explain that well at all

I also agree that the switch to groups has more bad things than good (slowness and random ads are very annoying).
I have some free software that does the same sort of thing that this site does (message forum) that has some pretty good features. I had thought about integrating it into DSG but there was never a great need since we had Club Pente. Now however I'm reconsidering the idea. It would be quick and free of annoying ads, and we would have control
If anyone else thinks this is worth my time let me know by replying or emailing me dweebo@p...

Does anyone think that this would be the best thing ever??????? I think that this would be an excellent alternative to the yahoo group, that we are all, not very pleased with. I would love to see this program within DSG!! Please, if you have not already; send your replies to Dweebo, through the DSG home page, if you would like to see this happen. Vitals

I'm not having any problems. I post my message. After that an ad pops up on the next page I hit continue thats it. My ISP on the other hand sucks. I do think it would be a good idea to add that to Dweebos though especially if it e-mails it to you. What's the worst case scenario we have 2 ways of posting in case 1 goes down & one will go down. Do we really need to e-mail Dweebo or won't he see all these post?
Thanks Regan

He will probably see all the posts. Amazingly enough, my long post that I thought had been lost miraculously appeared this morning, about 24 hours after I posted it! Apparently it was floating around in yahoo cyberspace but wouldn't post until I reverified my email address which had become unverified somehow. Still though, various aspects of this site have become a hassle; for example, two days ago the messages archives were unavailable all day. That seems to happen a lot too, so having dweebo's site as a place to post would be very useful.
