Did you change the default pente piece images? The reason I'm asking, yesterday, my black pieces were a solid black and white pieces were a solid white. Now, it looks like the pente pieces have a shadow effect. The center of the black and white pieces look gray.

If you haven't, then I think this is just another thing on my computer that Autodesk Civil 3D Service Pack 2 messed up. I installed service pack 2 onto my computer this morning, and I'm chasing bugs all day. Why can't computer software companies produce a quality product?

I'm not upset with pente.org. Compared to others, this has been an exceptional site dedicated to quality.

Yes, I added some code for turn-based games that will make the stones look a little nicer. If they don't look nicer to you then maybe I didn't do it quite right.

Attached is a picture of what they should look like.

They look like what you have in the picture. It's just that the black/gray pieces are difficult to read. Otherwise, they look great.

I think the new look is great! Thanks Dweebo. Good job. I am not sure what the other people are talking about because the pieces are easy on the eyes and simple to distinguish apart...no need to change them back.

yes, is it possible for us to have a choice? I much prefer the stones the way they were. Makes viewing for my brain a lot more straightforward. If I could change them in my profile, I'd click them back to how they were.

well i made the pieces a bit more black and less "gray". if it is truly horrible still let me know and i'll either put it back or make it configurable.

Dweebo,
I'm new to the site and played a few turn-based games here. This is the only place I've seen the owner going out of his way to make everyone happy. You don't get that at most real time game sites.
The stones before looked great and they look just as great now.

Thanks Dweebo for keeping pente.org the best pente site out there!!

I agree with the previous people....you should make it so that you can have a choice in what stones you want.....this would be included in the user's profile changing page.

Stones look a lot better Dweebo.....a heck of a lot better.....mebbe the contrast between the board (background) being 'bright' like the old stones were against the brushed/dulled whatever you wanna call it that you did to make the stones look so much nicer is what's throwin' people....I think it looks great the way you have it now, but mebbe other people can't see as well (eyes of a hawk here....really. Not kidding.)(?).
