PBeM question
Posted: Mar 8, 2002, 4:37 AM

I downloaded the games from the 2000 PBeM final
from Mark's site. In text format, they look great,
everything si aligned perfectly and there is no doubt as to
which stones are where, and a vertical formation looks
the way it should. In the emails though, they show up
all misaligned and it is not possible to even make
the simplest move, such as blocking a tria, without
setting up the game on a board.

My question is,
is that a problem that occurs because of email, or
is it because of the specific email that I use? in
other words, does anyoen else actually get the games in
the nice looking format over email, or does everyone
get the same misaligned picture that I do...

If I do not accept a game invite right away, it means I will once I have fewer games in progress.

It is quite possible that your email client does
not use a fixed width font, which would screw up the
images. Your text editor probably is using fixed width
which would explain why there is a difference between
the two.
