Cheese is one of my favorite foods, it is good and yummy but many people say that it is bad for you. I don't know if it is. I like many kinds but recently brie is one of my favorites. I like it on crackers usually.
Today I was in a store and they had free samples of cheese but a lady was there so after 2 I stopped but 4 days ago they just had it on display, two kinds of cheese, with no one watching and a huge supply of toothpicks, now that is hard to resist. It was awesome cheese, I had way too many.
They have a deli, and I was eating cheese while waiting for them to make the sandwich, beef and provolone. When the deli was done making my lunch it was funny to see even more cheese on my food after eating so many free samples.
My best experience with cheese was at a party back when COMDEX was in its heyday. They had a party for EDS and I was invited. At this VIP party they had two popular bands playing, an open bar, a table with $50,000 in gourmet chocolate, and another with at least $50,000 in gourmet cheese. OMG this was cheese lover’s heaven. I was in here for hours and it was so hard to stop snacking, they had wheels of cheese that were over 100lbs, and people lined up to take some. I had many other great foods that night; I loved the custom ice cream made just for me. Yea that was a night to remember, too bad Comdex is dead.
Now everyone else please post your best cheese experence.

how many cheeses within 150 miles of my hometown??
OMG I'd have to research this cos there are sooo bloody many. Remember that in France alone, we have more cheeses than there are days in the year! Yep that's over 400 different cheeses in France alone.
But where I come from you can find the smelliest of them all. In a little stinky town called Munster, in Alsace, they make ... Munster cheese! Now, I know you can find some piece of slighty flavoured plastic at Publix under the same name, but don't be fooled - it's a very poor and cheap copy, that is related to the original only by name.
For example, I once flew from Paris to London (only a 55mn flight) with a wheel of Munster in my hand luggage. By the time we landed and I opened the overhead trunk, everyone was looking around in horror wondering where the hell that seriously pongy whiff was coming from. And the thing was wrapped in its original paper _ box, then aluminium, then newspaper and the lot in a sealed plastic bad.
You've been warned, skunks only need apply
More Munster (also known as 'Monster') cheese stories soon..

LMAO. I can eat cheese almost to the exclusion of all other foods. I eat it for a midnight snack.....my fav is brie melted on seasoned garlic crackers with cranberry sauce (preserves or jam work in a 'jam'...)....the other soft cheeses such as camembert are groovy too....it's a pursuit on par with wine appreciation in my humble opinion and actually is pretty much the perfect companion pursuit to winetasting or vice versa. Only problem is the after effect. LOL. Le' Pew!!!! I'll hafta do some research on how much cheese lies within my state.....I assume that you aren't including my own personal cheesiness as a qualification zoey? lol

This story is about one of my earliest memories, and it is the reason I hate cheese. It’s odd too, because I can eat bugs, raw fish, and just about every other strange food, but can I eat cheese? No way! Oh I can eat one type of cheese; mozzarella on pizza. I love pizza, especially with pepperoni and anchovies, but only if it doesn’t have other types of cheeses, just mozzarella.
Ok the story: I was about 3 years old, and I know this because I remember I had to stand up in the chair to look over the table. At that time I also loved all kinds of cheese. I would eat it all day long if I could. One day I was standing in my chair at the table eating cheese with my cousins. And I finished off my plate of cheese. I remember I said to my grandmother: “Mammaw, I want some more ‘Butter’.” I didn’t say cheese, I said butter. You see, in my little 3 year old mind the word ‘butter’ meant cheese. My grandma looked at me with a pinched face and said: “You don’t want any ‘butter’” I said: “Yes, I do!”
So she gave me some butter, not cheese, and I looked at it and said: “That’s not butter.” “Yes it is.” She replied. So I took a bite and nearly threw up it tasted so bad.
Ever since then I cannot eat cheese without wanting to throw up because it taste so bad. I hate cheese, and the kicker is I know it is just in my mind, but I can’t help it. I can’t stop hating cheese.
To show u the bizarreness of how much it is much in my mind, I’ll tell u of something that happened to me. One evening about 3 years ago I took a friend to a restaurant to get him to try this salad I absolutely loved. The dressing on the salad was wonderful. I had eaten this salad many times and wanted my friend to try it too. So we are setting there eating this delicious salad and a woman at the table behind us asks her waiter: “This salad is delicious. What is in the dressing?” The waiter then tells her about all the ingredients including Romano, feta, and 2 or 3 other horrid forms of cheeses.
I was shocked, but I said to myself “Ok Richard, I love this salad. I love it!” and I take another bite, but suddenly it doesn’t taste as good as before. Then I take another bite… and I start to feel like it will make me throw up right there. I can no longer stand the smell of it. Suddenly the salad, that was so great, tastes so horrible, and I can’t eat it anymore.
Wow! Just learning it had cheese made me hate it. Go figure.

wow RIII I'm feelin' so sorry for ya!!
Missing all these wonderful cheeses from around the world.. And not even being able to enjoy your fave salad just cos u found out the dressing had a nice cocktail of cheeses in it. That's really sad. But hope is not lost: you still like pizza, with mozarella cheese on top! And yes, that's definitely cheese, not butter So I reckon, if you keep telling yourself that mozzarella IS cheese, and that you love it, cos you love pizza, then you can probably get back to loving all cheeses. When you're ready, I'll take ya for a cheesy trip round France to sample all that you've been missing!
It's funny, I have a few stories of really overdoing it with certain cheeses back when I was a kid, and not being able to eat those specific cheeses anymore for a number of years, but I invariably got over it and managed to love'em again.

I'd rather eat the goopy maggot filled spray that spews forth from the rotting carcass of cow that has built up too much gaseous internal pressure from its decomposition.
I’d rather set my too full cat litter box out in the hot sun for a couple of days and plunge my face in it so that I suck greedily at the dark goo that saturates every little chunk of clay.
I’d rather have my mouth surgically attached to a pig’s arse whose been fed a steady diet of laxatives.
