If any of you rich Pente players out there want to make my Christmas extra happy, you couldn't go wrong with the original in the box Glass Pente board listed on ebay right now, how sweet is that! Of course right now its listed at $76.00 or I'd buy it myself.

I promise to lose to you anytime I play you for a year*
Of course you would get ultra platinum donor privileges which I have never given anyone before. I hear it even includes the "make my name white" option for near complete invisibility.

That one I listed ended at just over $100. But don't fret anxious buyers, there is another
Glass Board
on ebay now that looks sweet too!

Actually you get a very happy dweebo, and a very happy dweebo likes his Pente site, and wants to spend time improving it.

Great to hear from you partica, hope you get back here real soon.

* Disclaimer about losing for a year: Good luck getting me to accept your invite.

P.S. If anyone buys the board for themselves through the link above that would make me happy too, and would probably get you donor privileges as well if you can prove it.

First and foremost, Merry Christmas to yall!
When I travel I usually have a regulation sized carry on.
Four years ago I made a plywood game board that fit the outside sleeve on my carry on bag. I drilled the holes to match a regulation tournament pente board (you do the math), and used 4 sets of colored golf tees as my game pieces. I clipped the tees at their bottoming out point, and sanded the clipped edges. It withstands earthquakes. Think about that. I stained my board twice to make it more visually attractive. Many, many games have been played on airport layovers and boring flights. I am about to make version two. I'm open to all suggestions (sans glass)...
uh, what is a step up from ultra-platinum?

Wow, someone bought the 2nd board I posted about here for $227.50, and they bought it through the link here!

Should I be expecting it in the mail I don't think so but thanks to whoever bought the board, if you are a user here at DSG and can prove you bought it to me, please do so and I'll give you donor privileges.

Well Mr. Rabbit and myself bailed at $225.00 I wonder who did purchase this nice board? Unfortunately for you I had no intention to give it away. We had a good time bidding on it. We were laughing hard making the future owner honest on the value of this board..lol

SCHT UPID! sent the pic of his travel size pente board to Dweebo. Someone paid $200+ for a glass pente board in the box huh? I guess it's time to bring the woodshop into full swing on this next one. Any ideas for the game pieces that 'lock' into the board for bumpy travel? Golf tees were easy, cheap, light weight and convenient...
Open to suggestions. Oh yeah, almost forgot, I hope all the penteheads have a Merry Christmas

Hey, that's a pretty cool looking board! I like the portability of it too at around 1 square foot. But, unless I counted wrong, it looks to be only 17 x 17 ...

You can count. That just might get you somewhere. Hehe. 17x17. I forget how to tie my shoe laces sometimes,
ie: I tried to pump gas today. They did not turn on the pump. I walked inside and prepaid $40. I walked back out and tried it again. She did not reset the pump yet. A lil miffed I started to walk back inside as she signaled me to pump again. I pressed "pay inside" for the third time and squeezed the nozzle. Nothing. OK. Now I'm thinking a new girl that can't handle basic procedure. I walk balk inside and a male 'associate' walks out with me to the pump and he flips up the nozzle base. Occasionally each and every one of has a brain fart and I had mine today, Pooooft!
I hate it when that happens....had yours recently?
respond in kind...

Those are defiantly some nice boards. I happen to have an extremely nice wooden board that looks a lot like the glass boards. I purchased it for $1.00 at the Rummage Sale (a huge garage sale in Eagle County, Colorado), but it came without any pieces. Since then, my dad and I made several clay bead sets of different colors to go with board. The board is currently residing at my parents' place, and every Christmas, my dad and I drag it out for a couple games. One of these years, he's going to beat me. I'm a vastly superior player. I do believe it's a regulation size board.
