Ratings filter for Database?

Wouldn't that be neat? You could see what moves players at different skill levels play, and best of all, you could filter out all the n00b plays and know what the best answers are to any move with more certainty, knowing that this is how they fared against the pros. It would make the already fantastic database even more useful!

Sorry Karl,

I disagree even the unlearned players occasionally make a brilliant move even if by accident. Ever here the old saying that even the blind hogg can find the truffle? Leave the data base alone...del out...

yes but Karlw is right, you would be able to see how more advanced players view situations! Sure a beginner can just happen upon a good move or even the best possible move but it would still be useful to have an database that could be organized by the skill levels of the players involved.... awake.....in!

If people are interested in using the database to master the game of Pente, they should learn the hard way (spending countless hours grinding out moves and cross referencing names). This is the same way as those who mastered the game before them did.

I vote no, Lets not make it any easier for the “Noobs” to master the game.

I agree with sam and del here.....the db is a useful tool, and bottom line is that it only shows the outcome of EXPLORED avenues anyway.....talk to any of the REAL masters and what you'll find is that the mastery comes the fun way....by losing. A lot.
