D-Pente database
Posted: Apr 16, 2006, 11:59 PM

I have noticed for some time that there is isn't a way of determining who has made the initial opening moves in D- Pente. I was wondering if there could be a way of solving this problem? I know that P-1 makes the opening, but there is isn't a way of knowing if p-2 decides to be p-1 or p-2. Any suggestions anyone? Maybe a asterisk beside the players name that introduced the first 4 moves.

If you view the text version of the game it shows this information as "Swapped?: Yes/No". Adding it to the database results screen would be a good thing to do someday.

Oh, sorry. There is a link in the list of games at the bottom. You probably click the "Load" link to load the game onto the pente board. You can also click the "Txt" link to bring up a text version of any game, it includes all the information about the game like players, ratings, date/time, moves, etc.

The Txt link is in the first column for each game.

Hope that helps
