Has anyone ever heard of this game?

A
seller on ebay claims it is the 1st version of Pente
from 1879.

If anyone wants to see it just put
go bang into the search at www.ebay.com.

Joe

Go-bang is the name of Go Board, it is the name
of Five in a Row game, which ussially named as
Go-moku.
This is simplest version, it is known in England from
1860-1870 years, but really it is Chinese or Japanese
Game.
This game is mother of two games Pente (ninuki) and
Renju.
You can see information at renju.nu or just play
Go-moku at IYT
