maybe a crazy idea but personally i would find it interesting if swap2 was like... place 5 stones and then decide to play or add2 more. would allow for many more awkward or complex openings that people would never play normally
other note, when does your challenge end, other than getting the elo? Lack of challengers... death... broke?

Invitation sent. Its just a warm up set. Will take me a minute to get my mind back into pente. I propose we both do our own wedge lines. My novelty will be new. And if you do same draw move as in your current running game. I think I will attack the pair the same spot your opponent did, since you believe its losing for P1. Let's see

I'm assuming there's no rule preventing a player who is not currently registered (or established) here from sending a challenge, provided they put in the games to establish themselves? No, I'm not thinking of creating an alt account to do this, I just have some gomoku and vint.ee connections who might be interested.

Hypothetically, I could make a run for 1843 also.
Is there any way to search historical records to see what a player's highest Elo was?
I remember I was 108-0 with 20 draws.... And then lost two matches, one each to kevin and Pente_gon. AT the time, I had the highest TB rating for Pente; I cannot recall what that rating was though or whether it was 2800 or not.
Notably, Kevin then won a set against Pente_gon. Kevin also has a few losses resulting from his daughter messing around on his phone and losing a few games. If not for that he would easily be in the mid or high 2700s.
I forget who Pente_gon's other loss was against.
I have now become accustomed to swap 2. Can we get Rainwolf to implement that here? I was opposed at first, but now I see its value.

Unrelated, but my listed age is way off and my photo is 16 years old !
Anyway, maybe we should do a masters round robin tournament.
Watsu, Kevin, KarlW, RichardIII, Pente_gon, BRF, Zoey, Nedhall. And anyone else generally regarded as master level and has ever achieved 2700 ratings.
Are drawn sets of 2 still scored with no change in Elo? That was likely the driving factor in Elos going from capping out at 2300-ish to the 2800s. All someone had to do was hold as player 1 and would not lose any Elo even though a draw against a lower rated player usually would mean an Elo decrease.

Hey Dmitri, Good to see you commenting here. Swap2 has been implemented here, but I'm not sure whether or not it's accurate in implementation. There are three options after 3 stones are placed, but the third option doesn't say something to the effect of add two stones and let the other player pick. That may be what happens, though. The higher rated player has been penalized for drawing against the lower rater player in a rated set here since ~ April of 2019.

Agreed on the tough hill. Ithink Pente_gon was at 29++ before we held that tournament I just linked to and though he won it, his rating dropped to the current 2842.
