Blitz renju - who wins between top Asian players and top European gomokuers

In the long run, this should be an interesting question. For now, the Europeans appear to be dominant. We'll see whether or not that holds true over time. Illustrative game: https://www.vint.ee/en-gb/replay/14603344/

I see no top Chinese renju players. Sandersonia is Japanese, Tomoharu Nakayama. He is a very strong player, that's true.

Interesting that Zoltan knows renju theory quite well.

Do you know that the leader is 11 year old boy? =)

Yes, I've played a few games of Pente against your student Alex. It's true that the asian renju players haven't shown up in full strength yet, unfortunately. However, this past Sunday had a much better showing among them than prior tournaments in the series, so hopefully that trend will continue.

Impressively, a young Chinese player took first place this week. https://www.vint.ee/en-gb/tournament/result/219011/

Estonians took 1st and 3rd places this week. However, with only two Estonian players playing, you'd hardly know it's their site and game: https://www.vint.ee/en-gb/tournament/result/219013/

With this series now more than half completed, Zoli appears to have a lock on overall first place, assuming he continues to participate until the end - 7x 1sts, 1x 2nd and 1x 3rd in nine tournaments. If a top Chinese player were to come in and win all the rest of the first places, that would still be quite impressive and earn quite a high place overall. Seems unlikely to happen, but who knows?

Unfortunately for viewers, Zoltán László of Hungary didn't have much in the way of competition for first place in this series, winning all but two of the 15 tournaments he participated in.
