DSG Party Idea

I've always thought it would be fun to have a DSG Party, basically a night that we set in advance and then everyone just comes and plays. Usually there are 5-20 people logged in on any given night but it would be really cool to see how many people we can get on at once!
It would also be an interesting test of the new server, as long as not many people play against the computer I think it would run fine with a larger load of players (but who knows, we might find some new bugs).
I think the gathering should take place at night, somewhere between 7 and 12. I'm not sure what nights are good for people, maybe the weekends or maybe not.
So if this sounds like a good idea to you, please post when you think would be a good time, and now many "guests" you could bring . If we get enough people interested I'll set a date and time that most people can agree with and we'll see how it goes.
I think it would be a great idea, to try and bring players who want to play but can only give it so much time. with a time and date set up they wouldnt get stuck going on when theres only 3 players on.
Saturday night, starting like 7:00 or 8:00 pacific is great 4 me

Well I was thinking that this coming Saturday (12/13) would be a great time for the party. But there hasn't been much of a response yet to the idea, it would be pretty lame to say we're having a party and then only have 5 people show up....
So if you think it's a good idea, please post and let us know, even if you can't make it this weekend.
If I get enough responses in the next few days I'll send out a news update to all players who have registered to receive news (a few thousand!). But if not then we'll try to do it some other time.

Ok, I've set a date and sent out a News email to all players who are registered to receive news updates. Hopefully we'll get a good turnout!
DSG Party #1 - This Saturday 12/13/2003 7:00 PM EST until whenever it's over! Tired of visiting the site time and time again to only find 5-10 players on? (and usually the same ones, you know who you are!) Well the DSG Party is a great way to come out and play against a bunch of other players. We've set the time and you know the place, so come on out and meet some of the top players and play a few games. I'll be there too, and I'll accept all challenges!

Well, the 1st DSG Party was this past weekend and it was a blast! We didn't get as many people out as I'd hoped (only 17 max I think), but it was still alot of fun and a few top players who haven't been around in awhile showed up and played some games.
Hopefully we can schedule more parties in the future with even bigger turnouts, like maybe once a month or so.
