was browsing some of your forums and this idea was sorta formed outa reading some of them.
since i am new here, i am not sure how your messageboard works and how to attach a picture to my post yet. i tried the attach file but when i clicked on it it didnt do anything. so i just uploaded to my domane (yes i play everquest)
i cant donate any cash yet, but i thought maybe i could donate some time and created this picture of the idea i have in my head.
i thought it would help new people who show up and are asking questions in the chat window and dont realize that most everyone is at a table and cant hear them.
i also thought about a way to put in an "AFK" message or something.

Hmm, do you think that is a big problem, new players asking questions to an empty room? Its hard for me to know, since I am the opposite of a new user, its advice like this that is good.
I know some sites show players in tables by listing it as a separate column in the list of players.
Thanks for the pic, makes it easy to see what you are thinking.

This is a decent idea. From a design point of view though, you are using up a lot of extra screen real estate. You could probably show the same thing by just putting a little bullet or icon (of the table number perhaps?) next to each player's name in the lobby (or something).
Lots of small things about chatting in general could be improved I'm sure.
