Captures can happen but don't win is a variant which has been explored, yes. The unbalance isn't due to captures being able to win, it's due to a winnable position for one side or the other arising due to capturing.

Capture wins disabled is actually a BGA option which a few players favor; it has an older prior history, of course, but that's where it's playable currently. I've played a few games of it there.

To be honest, I have a busy week ahead, including double shifts. My first day off will be Sunday. So for my needs also i think I'll drag it a week. My current game is win by captures in 5 moves. But, im not in a rush.

if your so sure you will win, why didn't you make your move instead of writing about it. and why does your game with homebrew show you still have 2 days to play when he played a day or two ago
