There is the following language in the rules section for double elimination tournaments:

"If however, 2 players are assigned a match but have already played earlier in the tournament, Pente.org will try to find another pairing that haven't played yet, but that is still close to the system of pairing by seeds."

No such language is found in the round robin rules, but we do have this clause:

"Now the layers of the sections will be shuffled as well. In the above example, layer 1 consists of seeds 1 to 10, layer 2 of seeds 11 to 20, and so on. The players within each layer are shuffled randomly before being assigned to a section. No 2 players from the same layer will end up in the same section for that round."

It is unclear whether this random process has a rule that excludes repeat placement. Looking at the last master's tournament, my guess is no. Perhaps rainwolf can elucidate.

It's no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then.

To be honest, the stalling did bug me a bit, but that is an unfortunate and anticlimactic end to round 1. And now Owen and mumix are running it back lol.

Btw, what is qualification in the group of three? Being top-2 in the group, score 50% points (two), something else?

In general in this particular format it's top 2, but I'm not sure how it handles a 2-2-2 split. 4-1-1 is, I believe just the 4.

Regardless of group size, the top two in each section advance, and if there is a tie for second, everyone who ties advances.

This occurs until there is only one section. At this point, the point leader is the tournament winner. If there is a tie for first, all who tied advance and play in a single section in the next round, with the same rules.

Presumably not the case with a 6-0-0 score, though?

Please show me a cross table that somehow results in 6-0-0.

Brainfart. 6-2-2-2 is, I presume, all four advancing?

Thank you. Only score matters, no Sonneborn–Berger or match points or personal encounters or whatever?

For example, 5-3-3-1
XX 10 11 11
10 XX 10 10
00 10 XX 11
00 10 00 XX

Both 2nd and 3rd advance?
