Jaq just drew my attention to this - instead of Main Room for playing live, a new choice seems to have appeared - Pirate Pente.

What is this?

????

Pirate Pente is Pente for Pirates. Obviously you are not a pirate lepews!

Actually I am pleased to announce that a small new feature has been introduced to Pente.org, private game rooms for special cases.

In this case we have a room for Louis Pizitz Middle School in Vestavia Hills Alabama (school mascot is a pirate). The user uponavon is a 6th grade gifted teacher there and many of his students enjoy playing Pente, they are even hosting a tournament at the school.

Anyways I have created a private room that only the students have access to, since some parents are rightly concerned about where their kids are going on the internet.

Welcome Pirates!!

Really? Wow, I am not far from there, well not too far anyways, I visit Birmingham quite a lot. I'd like to visit this group sometime. Do any of these players play here?

Very cool Dweebo. I've always thought that getting kids involved in Pente is important for the future of the game. http://pente.org/gameServer/forums/thread.jspa?forumID=1&threadID=3762&messageID=13972#13972

Maybe we can get some more schools involved? school clubs + DSG looks like a winning combination to me!

Retired from TB Pente, but still playing live games & exploring variants like D, poof and boat
