New 2008 Pente Championship Website Anounced!!!!!!

Happy New Year, fellow Pente players in the world!!!! Along with others, I am proud to announce a New Pente Website, In hopes to create the next Live in person Sponsored Pente Championship.¨ All countries may attend, but it will most likely involve American, And perhaps Canadian players only. The purpose of the website consists of 5 things.
1. To give a place to sign up for the event. 2. To give a place for all interested to vote on certain questions, so as to create the event in the most successful way possible for all involved. 3. To give a place for players to read updated news involving the event. 4. To give a place for historical stats and photos of the Championship to be displayed. 5. To give a place for a Great Pente Download and Resources page.
We currently have prizes and game board donations, Sponsored by Dweebo, And by Winning-moves.com. (The licensed makers and distributors of Pente). In addition there are anonymous donations pledged towards a cash prize. Engraved Trophies will also be funded. Many of you may be asking when and where. To answer this, we must first all vote on it at the new website. Then we can figure out the most successful time and place.
When visiting, besides voting, also please make sure to sign the guest book. The website does not have a forum other than the guest book, so this thread shall be the official one for all discussions involving the website and the Championship.

Awesome. I'm glad to hear it is up and running. Anybody who thinks they are remotely interested in attending a live pente tournament in the U.S. please go vote at the website given by zoeyk. It should be a lot of fun, and you folks are the community that can make it so.

P.s. Hey Alex,.do you think you might be able to fly in for a Pente Championship in America? I'm sure more people would come to the event if you did. Just thought ide ask.

Thanks, but visa procedure in USA ambassy not convinient for Russians. You need to go to ambassy get number in a kyu and after two-three weeks just have possibility to give them your documents for considerations paying around 200 USD . Then they can refuse or not and you have wait answer or visa around month. So you have decide about your visit 2 month before. I prefer to visit other countries with short visa procedure (7 days or getting visa in airoport). I thinking about Spain, Lithenia, Hongkong and Japan this year.
